baby blues...

Some photos from our day thus far...

Sellers feeding her baby sister her bottle this morning... and Copeland in her carseat with her enormous pacifier. Almost everything in life seems to be enormous in comparison to our tiny peanut!

Still doing well... Not to seem presumptuous, I just wanted to give you all an update. And to ask you to pray for these "blue spells" I keep mentioning. This would definitely fall into the "specifics" category, I'm sure, but I feel a little more at peace with praying for specifics than I did, say, about 36 hours ago. Guess that's what defines much of our spiritual life: constant ups and downs. I'm so thankful that the Father isn't as inconsistent in His ways with us as we are with Him. Copeland has her "good" days and her "not-so-good" days and this has been one of the latter, at least from the perspective I've kept in watching her color change. We are always hopeful for pink cheeks and lips - signs that her bloodflow is strong - and often we'll have that for hours at a time. But honestly, today has been a tough go of it, and I would ask you to lift up our girl and ask specifically - there's that word again - that the Lord would begin to slow the frequency of these blue spells and help her to breathe. It's been a tough day... not as much vigor as we'd like to see her with. Please pray right now for her health and for her life... that God would restore her moment by moment.

Thank you for the updates, you are so good at keeping all of the friends and family (and strangers) updated as we anxiously check your blog several times a day. We will continue to lift her up in prayer, along with the rest of you- that God would give her strength, peace and easy breathing! Keep up the good work Boothe- as a mother I don't know how you're staying sane, let alone so upbeat. Your Faith is a real encouragement to all.

She looks like a tiny little perfect doll in that carseat! My mom said she got to hold her and rock her last night and she loved it so much...we are praying for you guys always. I feel like that is all I can say every time I comment, but that it is from our hearts! We love y'all and wish we were there.

Boothe, I'm excited to see these beautiful pictures. I just showed Morgan (our 2 year old) and she said, "Ooo Mommy, that's a pretty baby! And her paci is so big! And her pink carseat is just so beautiful!" Praying for her blue spells to be less frequent and that the Lord will provide you and Conor rest this evening. I pray that if need be, she will cry her little lungs out and have the reddest little face, cheeks and lips you've ever seen. Thanks for the pictures and I'm so glad you were able to get out today and show her off to the world... what a blessing! And Happy One Week Birthday to the whole family! Thank you for your honesty with us, I feel better equipped to pray!

Boothe--This was my daily scripture verse and I thought about you. From your blogs-I see that you are doing an amazing job caring for Copeland. God made you for this job. Please know that I am praying for endurance and strength.

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised."
(Hebrews 10:35-36)

Thank you so much for sharing your photos and especially for sharing your heart. I know it must be tough at times to feel you have to keep strangers updated when you have so many other things to be doing with your time. Prayers are being lifted up for Copeland that she may breathe easier and that you and Conor can do the same!

Thank you for the update and pictures. Sellers is such a natural at loving her baby sister. I have been and will continue to pray for Copelands body to build up strength and her breathing to be peaceful. It is such a miracle to see her doing it all on her own with no intervention and this is no small thing. God is good and will continue to carry all of you through the ups and downs. "Specifics" are Gods specialties and He hears your heart. May the blood of Jesus flow through her body and completely restore her. For such a tiny being, she is holding on with great might as she gives it all she's got. Praying for you to remain steadfast and secure in the arms of the Lord. Peace and grace to surround you and love to continue to flow through all of you.
Love you and praying constantly,
Laurie in Ca.

Boothe and Conor,
I am praying for a good night tonight, one where you may rest easily, and one where Copeland is peaceful and pink! I pray that God blows wind into her chest and fills it, gives her strength to see more of all that you both want to show her! I am continuing to pray for you, Conor, Sellers and your family too that you all may see God in your steps, and hear his gentle whispers of His faithfulness to you - that He is here with you, always.
may your evening be sweet and peaceful! I'm praying!

I will pray that God will deliver you from these scary blue spells. What you are facing with such grace blows my mind. I say ditto to whoever said you needed to write a book. I have gotten so used to a daily dose of your writing (encouragement) I hope this blog goes on and on forever! Praying for your precious family, erika mcpherson powell

Lord, we continue to pray for your healing hand to touch little Copeland. Help her circulation to flow smoothly and her breathing to ease. Give comfort to this precious angel as well as to her mom and dad and sweet sister as they approach each second of each day in total dependence upon You, Lord. May we all walk each day in total dependence upon You as well. Thank you for the example of this family, the example of truly living out their faith, even finding joy
in the midst of trials.

Amen

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. Praying for peace-filled rest for all of you this evening.

We are checking this hourly and are so awed by the faith and love for Jesus you and Conor both have during this incredible trial. Stay strong in the Lord--I don't believe anybody could do it otherwise. Stay steadfast. And you and Conor must stay close. Praying from right here in Brentwood for all of you and for specifics for your beautiful babies.

Boothe, I love praying for specifics! It reminds me that God really does love it when we share with Him the deepest desires of our heart! With that said, I will certainly pray specifically for Copeland's health, that she will stay pink, that she will breathe and rest easy.

Oh, how I wish I could have seen her at school today! Selfishly, I want to hold her, look her in the eyes and tell her just how much she has impacted my life. Just like the faith of her mommy, daddy and sister have.

Love to you all!

Thank you for continuing to share your beautiful transparent faith with each of us. I agree to Erika that a book should be in your future. Good for you getting out again today, enjoy sharing God's great gift with everyone. Her life continues to glorify him more and more each day. Continuing to pray for each of you and the specifics in Decatur.

Happy one-week birthday, sweet little Copeland! It blesses me so much to see the love between your two precious little girls.

I am praying right now, asking the Lord to breathe His breath of life into Copeland. I pray that she will breathe freely and abundantly, and that the blue spells will stop.
