thursday morning

Boothe and I were able to sleep from 4 am to 8:30 or so. Copeland is doing well this morning- she is struggling to breathe a little bit more right now, but she is still fighting. So we are excited to spend this day with her.

Boothe and Conor, I am encouraged to see how God is teaching all of us thru this time with Copeland.

May our Abba Daddy, The Great Healer and Restorer...grant you one moreday w/Copeland. But more than that, may He restore Copeland in her new body, as she prepares to meet her heavenly daddy.

My prayers and love to your family.

God is giving you whatever precious time you need with your beautiful daughter, Copeland. In this time He will bring you His perfect peace. That is already evident in the joy you feel in having her in your arms even knowing that she will be home with her savior soon.

He will give you His strength that you might enjoy every moment He has given you with Copeland.

Praying that she will not suffer but there be a gentle closing of the door this side of heaven.

To the grandparents of Copeland...Dear Lord, prepare their hearts to the days ahead. We ask Lord that give them months!! But Lord nevertheless, "Thy will be done."
Father, help these grandparents to love and kiss and hug Copeland. As they give a piece of their hearts away...give them blessing overflowing b/c of their passion and obedience to Jesus. Help them feel Your arms wrapped around them at this time. Hug them tightly Lord! Amen

He is truly an Awesome God! I rejoice this morning for every minute you have with your precious Copeland. Through each of you, your precious angel has glorified God more in her first few days on earth than some of us will in 50 years. Thank you for so freely sharing your love for Him and Copeland with us.

your love for each other, your approach to this "gift" God has given you, and your constant faith has spoken loudly and clearly to so many of us who are daily weary of how much our Lord truly loves us. keep up the support for each other and cherish this day with your sweet, sweet baby Copeland.
we love you so much.

Dear Boothe and Conor,
You are continually lifted up to the Father throughout the day and night. It has been my prayer that you would have some time with Copeland-and you have had that prayer answered.
I prayed that this time would not be measured by a clock, but marked, highlighted, and underscored as GOOD-and you have. When we lost Jason(Kyle's brother), I told everyone that both he & I would have called it a GOOD DAY, because of the joy we had together.
You need to know that God's plan does not call for Copeland to suffer. As her little body starts to close it's time here, it sort of puts itself to sleep peacefully. And her last breath says "SEE YOU LATER!"
Sellers beaming picture is great, and I will think of Copeland whenever I see a child wink.
We love you and continue to lift you up to the Father.

"I don't understand Your ways
Oh but I will give You my song
Give You all of my praise
You hold on to all my pain
With it You are pulling me closer
And pulling me into Your ways

Now around every corner
And up every mountain
I'm not looking for crowns
Or the water from fountains
I'm desperate in seeking, frantic believing
That the sight of Your face
Is all that I need
I will say to You

It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it
It's gonna be worth it all
I BELIEVE this"

Boothe and Conor...
I have read your blog for days now and have yet to leave a message for lack of the words to say. The other night I was listening to an old worship album and this Rita Springer song spoke my heart so perfectly...I can't begin to understand being a parent but as a fellow 'child of God' homesick for a better place, I know so well the pain, the utter disappointment, and the fear of losing hope. Be encouraged today by these words from your sister...it WILL be worth it someday. Every last bit of it! I have to believe that. The pain is so very real but so is the joy. Know that I'm praying for you guys as you move forward today, and the next day, and the next on this strangely beautiful path He has you on.

Boothe, Conor, Sellers and extended family ~~ Please know that our family is praying for yours down in Georgia. We have friends at your church, yet heard about you through Sarah at "In the Midst of It" here online.

We followed Eliot's journey and prayed diligently for Matt and Ginny.

We do the same for all of you as you cherish and hold close the moments you spend with Copeland. She is beautiful, and I will wholeheartedly pray for your requests that she not be in pain, that her time here on earth be filled with peace. May that peace overflow into your hearts as well.

I will continue to stop by as I have for the past several days to check on all of you and your sweet girl.

Your words have touched my heart and the hearts of so many already. Copeland's life is already a testimony larger than many ever have a chance to leave in a multitude of years on this earth.

Thank you for sharing her with us.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers and I will keep you there. What a story the Lord has given you to share. What a difference in the world sweet little Copeland has made in her short time here on earth. I pray for comfort, strength, and peace for you as decisions arise and as Copeland's health deteriorates. I pray for Copeland's time here to be free of suffering. I pray she feels total love and peace. Soak in every moment, as I know you are. And may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds Phil 4:7. With prayers and love, Courtney.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! I was linked to your blog the day before Copeland's arrival, and I've been checking in ever since. I have been moved, not only by your posts, but by the sheer volume of and support shown by the comments people have made. It's truly a play-by-play of the body of Christ in action.

As a believer, a mother, and a NICU nurse, my heart has grieved *and* rejoiced with you these last few days. I know you are drinking in every moment with Copeland. Thank you so much for opening up this window into your lives; your family is a living testament to the goodness, faithfulness, mercies, and mysteries of Almighty God. May He continue to richly bless you and enrich the time you're spending with your precious little girl. Praying as you requested.....
