happy birthday, copeland!

Tonight we celebrated with some family as Copeland turned exactly one week old! It was a really special time... my cousin baked a delicious cake, my mom bought a precious little birthday hat for Copeland to "wear" (we think it's actually meant to accentuate a gift bag!) and Sellers even wore her "Big Sister" crown from school.

I can hardly believe we've made it this far... and yet with each passing day, it's harder to imagine that we are getting closer to the end... whenever the Lord has ordained that. We are preparing for a restful night and hoping Copeland will continue to remain pink and breathe well.

Blessings...

Boothe

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COPELAND! So many people are celebrating with you as you turn one week old. And I must say, pink should be your signature color!

Boothe, if your family were any prettier, I am convinced it would be illegal. But the best part is that, as beautiful as all of you are, you are even more beautiful on the inside. I can't even stand it!!

Loving all of you so much.

Happy Birthday Copeland!

I just came across your blog today, and read the whole thing, parts through tears. I don't pretend to understand, I don't know what to say.

Your faith, Boothe, is inspiring. You are real and you serve a real God and it is evident in your words.

Psalm 103: 1 - 5 Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Your family is in my prayers.

My thougths and prayers have been with you and your family since my sister emailed a prayer request for your family to me. Thank you for sharing your story. Thank you for reminding us of the awesome power of our Lord and for being an shining example of a family that lives surrouned by His grace and peace. Prayers from Nashville. Copeland is beautiful! What a blessing. As I sit on the oncology wing at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with my own daughter I am reminded that there are parents hurting, children struggling to live everywhere. Your family is in my prayers through Copeland's life here on earth and her everlasting life in Heaven. God bless.

Boothe,
You do not know me, but I am praying for you and your precious family. Your words on this blog have moved me...God is really using you to teach others in the midst of all of this. Here is my favorite prayer when I run out of words...

"Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer: answer me, for I need your help. Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God. Be merciful, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly. Give me happiness, O Lord, for my life depends on you. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I will call you whenever trouble strikes, and you will answer me." Psalm 86: 1-7

You now have a reader from Oregon following the precious story of your family. I have to believe that blogs such as yours are the spiritual victories that offset all of the battles lost to Evil on the internet. Thank you for sharing your story, encouraging me to hug and kiss my own two kiddos even more, and to praise Our Father and His perfect plan - even when it makes no sense at all - that much more.

I will be praying for you and your family. God Bless you!

Your family is absolutely beautiful! But the beauty inside you that you have shown through all that you are enduring has far outshown your outward beauty.
Thanks for sharing this very personal story. I think of you often even thought I don't know for you and pray for you. May God bless your unquestioning faith towards Him. It is an inspiration.

While you may not have words to pray, let us pray for you. That is what a family of believers do. It is hard to pray after any loss much less losing a child like this. Please allow us to stand in the gap for you and your family while you grieve. I find it amazing that someone with such a short life could affect so many people in such a deep way. Some people live a life time of 70-80 years and do not move others to the Lord the way Copeland did. Your willingness to share your sorrow and joy will be valued by many for years to come. God bless you!
