Here is the video from the memorial service yesterday. Conor's good friend Jason Ingram wrote the song for Copeland on the night she went to be with Jesus. We are grateful for every second we spent with our sweet girl. This is an amazing opportunity to share with you some of the most precious moments we had with her while she was here. Below that is the letter Conor and I read to Copeland during her service yesterday. Thank you, to everyone, whether you were there in spirit or physically. We felt your presence and we were so uplifted as we walked through one of the toughest days of our lives.

Be blessed...

Dear Copeland,
On the day you were born, we had prayed for you for two years. You were the answer we had been waiting for – with one exception. You were more. You were better. God truly poured out one of His greatest blessings on our family when you came along.

We knew that you were going to be with us only a short time, but we didn’t realize it would be so short. Who can prepare their hearts to lose what they’ve ached for, what they’ve found a piece of their soul to be knitted together with? As we write these words, we know you are with our Father. We know it in our heads even though our human hearts struggle to comprehend. We believe because Jesus came and lived and died an unfair death that you are with Him now, waiting for us, who will be with you one day. Never before have our sights been set on heaven as they are now. Never before have the things of this world been dulled as they are now. We long to see you… we long to rock you, to kiss you, to watch you grow. But we will plant our feet firmly on the knowledge that those longings will not go forever unmet because we rest in the promise of Christ.

Copeland, before your birth, we had no idea how much we would love you. We are so grateful for the time we had to be your mommy and daddy here on earth. We pray the Lord will strengthen our minds to remember the precious moments He granted us with you: your delivery and Daddy’s “thumbs up” when you began to cry, sharing you with the 60-odd visitors who flooded the waiting room upon your arrival, staying up through the night with you at the hospital while Daddy and I talked about how much we had been changed just by your coming, taking you home in your carseat for the first time, laying you in the crib we thought you would never even see, rocking you, singing to you, reading the Psalms over you, changing your tiny diapers and your tiny clothes, taking you to Sellers’s school so your new big sister could show you off, even keeping vigil over you through the last nights as your breathing grew heavy. I know we both count it as a privilege and an honor to have held you in our arms until the Lord chose to take you home to Him. We believe with hope that you felt carried the whole way.

We are not sure how we will go on. We will miss you so much our hearts will be near to bursting. We will long for you and wonder where you are. We will think of you every day, every hour, and ache to recreate the moments we had with you this side of heaven. But because we know you are there… we will walk. We will carry your sister, and all the other siblings the Lord chooses for you to have. We will honor the way you have changed us and the thousands of people worldwide who came to know your story by choosing each day a life that looks differently, a life that says, “Thank You, Jesus, for reminding us that heaven is real… You are real… and it’s time we learned to live like we believe it.”

We will never forget.

We love you.

That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It's amazing how a tiny little person can change our lives and hearts so much. I know I never knew her, but she has touched me deeply. And your love and faith in the Lord are so inspiring. May our gracious Lord give you peace in these dark days. I will keep praying for all of you.

Oh Boothe, how I ache for you...for your family. Not as one who has no hope, for we will see our children again! But as one who knows the pain of falling madly in love with a little one & letting them go into the healing arms of Jesus, trusting them there with complete joy that they've been healed...but missing them more than you know how to express.
Thank you for sharing the video, the song. What a beautiful life.

Boothe & Conor,

I am convinced that NO ONE who has been touched by Copeland will ever forget her, her amazing parents and beautiful big sister.

I felt so honored to be with you yesterday as we celebrated Copeland's life. I had so hoped to be able to hold her while she was still here on earth, and after yesterday, I feel like I really was able to. THANK YOU for sharing your precious girl with us in such a personal way. Your love for Copeland is something that has changed me profoundly and helped me understand my Father's love for me so much more clearly.

I will never forget Copeland or stop praying for all of you.

I love you,

Dear Boothe, Conor, and Sellers,
You don't know me, but I look forward to meeting you all and Copeland one day, that day when all tears are wiped away, all pain forgotten, and we see our Savior!
I just started reading your blog right after Copeland's birth, but the Lord has laid y'all on my heart very frequently since then. In fact, the past several nights, I've been up a lot in the night with a sick child, and every time the Lord has laid it on my heart to pray for y'all. I'm sure the nights are dark at times...
I praise the Lord for your testimony of faith in a world in which it is so easy to forget that "what is unseen is eternal".
I love you, sisters and brother.

Boothe, Conor, and Sellers,
Thank you for sharing so much of your sweet hearts with us. You four were on my mind and in my heart throughout the day yesterday, and every time you drifted in, you were lifted up. I love that our Father is so faithful to make our needs heavy on the hearts of others in order to bring us before Him. Often when we don't have the strength or words to go before Him ourselves. Thank you for sharing sweet baby Copeland with us. The video was incredible and could hardly be seen through the tears. You are loved.

Boothe & Conor,

I was at the funeral yesterday. It was really beautiful. I can't imagine the strength it took for you guys to write the letter and then to read it in front of all of us. You are so brave. I pray that you feel the love and strength of all your family & friends around you... but more than that I pray today you experience God's provision, love and strength more than anything else. I pray you feel His hands holding you both up.

my favorite author, frederick buechner says that the best writers 'open a vein' to let life pour out on pages. Boothe, I think you have that ability. I can't help but hope that one day you will put your words together for a book.

Thankyou so much for sharing this beautiful video and song with those of us who, though strangers, feel as though we know you. That song says it all, doesn't it?

You know, as I was thumbing through my favorite recipe book, "Recipes of the Pat Powell Family" :-)....I noticed something I hadn't paid much attention to before, Boothe, your great-grandmother, Mrs. Arradel Powell's maiden name was "Copeland". I'm assuming, though I don't know for sure, that this is where you got Copeland's name. I also noticed that Mr. & Mrs. Powell lost a child to diphtheria at the age of 6yrs. So, I know there was lots of family there to greet Copeland in heaven. What a legacy of strength and faith that was passed to Copeland and what a legacy she left behind. You will never know this side of heaven, how the Kingdom has been changed and grown thru your precious angel. Thankyou for the chance to share your journey and bear some of your burdens. The amazing video and pictures of dear sweet Copeland were a joy to see. My boys who have been looking at pictures and praying for Copeland all these months, loved being able to see her move and see your family surround her.
I really appreciated your pastor (I assume that is who it was) when he said that this was not a time for closure or forgetting..that you wanted to talk about Copeland. We who have walked this road w/you (albeitly from a distance) would like to remember Copeland with you too. And all that God has done thru this precious life.
Take care and please keep us posted on the family...

Conor, Boothe, and Sellers - you are all still in our prayers as you deal with the grief of losing such a precious girl and learn to lean more on the celebration of what her life meant while she was here and the freedom she now has in the arms of Jesus in a place we cannot even begin to comprehend. wow.

there just aren't enough right words.

what a beautiful life!

it is more than evident how you and conor were in step and completely reliant on The Father in and through all of this. you really did all of the right things--in the way you have handled this physically and emotionally as people, and as parents, and for selly, and for copeland. from the prayer to even commemorating everything with videos and blogs etc....it is astonishing how He will use people--no matter how weak or small-- and technology for His glory!

you all have truly honored our Lord. i know He is smiling at miss copeland right now, and is so pleased!

You have personified 2 Corinthians 12:9-10,
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

copeland was weak but had such a strong presence to so many...AND she is strong now b/c of Him.

thank you for allowing us to be able to walk through this alongside of you....even though we are up here.

i can't begin to tell you how much we love you and continue to pray for all of you.

You will always be precious to us, whether you continue with your blogging or not. (Though, of course, I hope you will) I know that I will never forget your family, or your precious Copeland. You have forever changed me.

Please know I will continue to pray for you always.

Although we do not know each other,I feel as though I know you and your family well. My prayer for you yesterday was that you felt the presence of God's precious angel Copeland, as she is cradled in the arms of Jesus and whispers personally in His ear, asking Him to send blessings of peace and comfort to her mommy, daddy, and sister. My prayer for you always is that you continue to feel those same blessings of peace, strength, and comfort as you continue your journey until the time when you (and all of us) get to meet her again. Thank you for sharing your incredible family with us. I will not forget you and will keep you in my prayers.

To Copeland’s Family,

I have been on my knees for you since Copeland was born. What you have lived out has been achingly beautiful to read. With each sentence Boothe and Chelsea wrote, I have been drawn closer to The Word. With each post, I have seen your love and have been turned to face the One who is Love.

During our home church service this morning, my husband taught us from John 17. In verses 15 and 16, Jesus prays, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

We have talked about Job, and the calamity he faced. Job had seven sons and three daughters, seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and a large number of servants. All were taken from him, and he praised the LORD nevertheless.

I told our 3 young girls today that I knew about a family who was walking through their own calamity and praising God. (I meant y’all!) I praise God for protecting you from the evil one. God has allowed you to walk through this, and you have kept your eyes on Him.

At the end of the book of Job, all the “things” Job had were restored to him, doubled. God only gave him seven more sons and three more daughters, and our 12yo pointed out that Job’s first children were still his, so his children were doubled too.

Copeland will forever be part of your family. I pray that the testimony of your faithfulness through her life and death will bring many to a saving knowledge of the One who walked you through it all. Jesus Christ died so that Copeland might live forever with Him. Not only Copeland, but also any who will believe in Him through your message. Your lives can be living sermons!

I just love the first part of Job 42:15, which says, “Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters…” But, then, that was before Boothe and Conor had Sellers and Copeland!

The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; May the name of the LORD be praised.
Thank you for sharing so much with so many!

<><, Elizabeth

Speechless.

I don't think there are words that would adequately describe how beautiful the tribute to Copleland is. I feel as if I've seen Jesus, just by seeing her. She is so, so beautiful, so precious, so amazing. How blessed you are for having had her in your life, and how blessed I am for having met her through your blog.

I pray for you daily, and it is my hope you are able to find comfort in the midst of sadness.

Isaiah 40:28-31: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Praying the Lord continues to lift you up, carry you, and give you strength. I am in awe...I am speechless.

Copeland Fair Farley is such an incredibly beautiful name for such a precious child and messenger from God. The service was absolutely beautiful. I was so moved by the video (I had so wished to be able to see and hold her in person so the video is a treasure), the music, your letter to her and also the vision of your families surrounding you as we sang. Please know that you have an extended family who love all of you and want to wrap our arms around you all any way we can.

Jeff was so right when he told you that God selected both of you to be Copeland's mommy and daddy because the Lord knew that no other people on this earth could love her and care for her the way that you have done. I believe that this is only the beginning of what He is planning to do through you and Conor as you share your testimony of Copeland with the world. I consider us all be blessed to have been able to walk through this time with you as we watched real faith walked out.

We love you all and will continue to be praying for you as you walk through the coming days and weeks. I hope you will still share your heart with us so that we can know more specifically how to lift all of you up.

And now she is in heaven with the Father, may you all be at peace and may your heart ache be released until the day that you hold her again. Kiss her again, until then continue to love her, talk about her, cry over missing her, but rest assured she has already received the ultimate reward. And she'll be waiting at heaven's gates with the Father. I love you all, you are still in our prayers, and we all miss your sweet baby girl...
